Amir is an accomplished serial entrepreneur and inventor in the drug delivery device space. To date, Amir has formed a number of medical startup companies and served in a variety of roles for these companies including CEO, CTO, and serving on the board of directors. In 2006, Amir co-founded SteadyMed (acquired by United Therapeutics for $216. million in 2018), and was an inventor of its drug-device combination product patch pump. Along his professional career Amir helped several leading healthcare companies innovate and address unmet needs in the drug delivery device space including, Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Phillips, and Medtronic. He is an inventor of the MAP Pharmaceutical combination product inhaler technology (acquired by Allergan for $958 million in 2013). Prior to his innovation and entrepreneurship career Amir held manufacturing positions for drug delivery devices.. Amir is passionate about building a holistic approach to care for the communities that Aktivax’s products serve.
