Adesha Adefela was raised in Oakland, born in San Francisco, and has been singing on stage her whole life. The daughter of Deltrina Johnson from the Bay Area’s longest running musical, Beach Blanket Babylon, Adesha starred in her first play and musical when she was just 4. Adesha cultivated her early talents in the church, then through her theatre. degree, before taking on a series of performances and collaborations with renowned Bay Area musical artists including sold-out shows at Oakland iconic venue Yoshi’s with her brother Jonah Melvon. Adesha has shared the stage with Case, Jazmine Sullivan, Carl Thomas, Anthony David and has performed lead female vocals on a Billboard-charted song. In addition to her collaborations, Adesha has released several solo projects, including 3 EPs (How I feel, Giving Love a Try Remix, Things to Consider) and a full-length album, Giving Love a Try.
