Aayush Jain is Principal and Founding Member at Unicorn India Ventures. He comes with over 7 years of experience in corporate and product strategy, capital raise, business/corporate development and M&As across sectors including technology, media, cloud, digital, consumer and education. Aayush heads Unicorn’s Delhi operations and partners. with portfolio entrepreneurs in recruiting talent, acquiring customers and partners, performance monitoring, capital raising, strategic brainstorming and business modeling.. Prior to this, Aayush was Head of Corporate Strategy, Investments and New Initiatives at PlanetCast Media Services (formerly Essel Shyam Communication), India’s largest technology-led solution provider to the media and broadcasting industry. Aayush focused on strategic investments, acquisitions, corporate strategy, product strategy and portfolio monitoring. He was instrumental in setting up company's Southeast Asian operations and in launching a cloud-based distribution and an Over-the-Top digital streaming product platform for the company.. Aayush has also worked with investment banking teams at Grant Thornton India and Centrum Capital, where he advised technology, media, consumer and education companies and worked on IPOs, financing and M&A transactions (with a total deal value in excess of $700M). He worked on deal sourcing, deal execution and hiring for the team.. An alumnus of IIT Madras, Aayush is very active within the IIT alumni networks, as the Joint Secretary of Delhi Chapter, IIT Madras Alumni Association. Aayush loves to play golf, capture landscape photographs, trek in the Himalayas and brainstorm product, customer acquisition and scale-up strategies with entrepreneurs.
