Aisha Babanngida is the Chairman of the Better Life Program for the African Rural Woman. Through her work with the Better Life Program, Aisha carries on her mother's legacy and furthers her personal passions for community outreach and empowering women. The Better Life Program provides communities with access to adult literacy programmes, skills acquisition and financial literacy.. Aisha Babangida is also the Founder of Egwafin Microfinance Bank, which she opened in 2016. The bank focuses on providing “unbankable” women access to funding and financial resources, in order to help them thrive. She is also the Founder of the Tasnim Foundation. She believes in the power of microfinance and microcredit and these approaches abilities to make dramatic positive changes in the lives of low-income and impoverished while also stimulating the local economy.. A lifelong learner, Aisha Babangida has attended the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and INSEAD (“The Business School for the World”). She believes in the power of education and the doors it can open for everyone, be it formal education, professional training or just practicing and expanding your personal skillset.. Aisha Babangida has ample international experience. She has previously spoken at the 2015 African Development conference and at a conference organised by African Youth Leadership Network. She presented at Tedx where she talked about habits of successful leaders and implementing them into our daily lives. She also formed an alliance with the Global Shea Alliance promoted by USAid in order to further Nigeria’s shea nut industry.. Her national and international experience has not only allowed Aisha Babangida to speak with other industry leaders around the world, but she is also able to increase awareness of the work that she is doing for communities across Africa.
