With over 38 years of experience, Adrea Rubin is the acknowledged expert in insurance/financial services customer acquisition in the direct marketing industry. She started her career in 1974 as the Direct Mail Marketing Association’s Insurance Council administrator. In 1975, Colonial Penn Insurance Company recruited Adrea to learn insurance. direct marketing and handle the data acquisition for AARP’s multiple insurance products. In 1976, she opened Direct Media’s New York City branch office. She was named Salesperson of the Year from 1985 to 1988, and became the first female member of the board of directors, and the original, sole female shareholder of Direct Media. Adrea opened Adrea Rubin Marketing in 1990 and Adrea Rubin Media in 1992. Adrea was awarded List Leader of the Year by the DMA in 2009 and the Direct Marketing Club of New York’s Silver Apple Award in 2011. A frequent speaker at industry events and writer for many industry publications, Adrea is a passionate supporter of many organizations such as the Direct Marketing Association; Direct Marketing Education Foundation; the DMA’s International ECHO Awards as the Insurance Finalist Judge since 2009; Women’s Presidents Organization (WPO); and the Direct Marketing Information Exchange to name a few. Adrea is a graduate of Tufts University.
