Mr. Wens is a Marine/Electrical Engineer and licensed Chief Engineer with 16 years’ experience. He has an ABET accredited degree from USMMA in Marine Engineering Systems which included over 20 semester units in electrical/electronic engineering. During his 9 years of sailing on his CG license, he served as the licensed officer on. commercial ships and every position has required extensive knowledge of electrical & mechanical engineering. Passing the Coast Guard exams for all licenses requires extensive knowledge of electrical engineering as directly related to ships. Mr. Wens has several years’ experience as a port engineer including two years as a port engineer for Navy Destroyers. He has broad experience. He has experience in the operations and management of the mechanical and electrical systems included continuous maintenance and troubleshooting to continue the most efficient operation at sea and reduce time when in repair status.
