Dr. Alexander J. Glass joined KineMed in 2004, as Executive Vice President for Instrumentation, and was named Chief Operating Officer in June, 2010. Dr. Glass previously has served as Chief Operating Officer of KMS Fusion, Inc., Chief Executive Officer of Chromex, Inc., and Associate Director of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.. He. formerly was Executive Director of the Bay Area Regional Technology Alliance (BARTA), a non-profit business-consulting group that focused on assisting early-stage, technology-based companies. He also has served as Chair of Electrical Engineering at Wayne State University, as a member of the Applied Science faculty at the University of California in Davis, and as a consultant to the US Air Force Office of Scientific Research.. Dr. Glass received his B.S. in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from Yale University, and the honorary degree of Doctor of Science from Eastern Michigan University. He is a Life Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE) and a Fellow of the Optical Society of America. In 1987, he received the US Air Force Award for Meritorious Civilian Service.
