Abou Kalley graduated from Towson University, earning his undergraduate degree in Finance, after which he went on to receive and MBA at the University of Baltimore. He honors his extensive education by working to set up revenue streams and services in Gambia, Africa, where he is from.. Abou Kalley began his career as a credit analyst,. specializing in risk assessment, at a company called Aerotek. He soon moved on from this company to work for the well-known American Express organization. Hoping to help his home more through his work, he joined the Redcoat Express procurement organization franchised freight company and others work with procurement in his home region of Gambia, and in the Democratic Republic of Congo.. He also began his own company, Seismic Mining, an exploration operation specializing in copper, cobalt and tin. He decided this was the best way to invest in his own country, as he is simply monetizing resources that are already available. Abou Kalley has, with this company, begun several mining initiatives in different regions, using his past experience to also take part in merger and acquisition activities, risk analysis, exploration strategy, offshore capital, project execution, operational logistics, execution, extraction, and many more.. Another one of Abou Kalley’s passions is philanthropy. He is very involved in charities such as Action Aid, an organization focused on a number of issues, such as land and food rights, women’s’ rights, education and youth development to name a few. Other philanthropic organizations that Abou contributes to include, Concern Universal, Hope For Justice, and Tobacco Free Kids.. Currently, in addition to running his exploration mining operation, Abou Kalley is the chairman of African Business Associates as well as the African Copperbelt Summit that takes place every November.
