Akimoto Yasushi

Born in Tokyo in 1958. He has emerged as a broadcast writer since high school, and has worked on numerous programs, including The Best Ten. Since 1983, as a lyricist, he has produced numerous hit songs, including Hibari Misora's “Like a river”. He received the 41st Japan Poetry Award in 2008, the 54th Japan Record Awards in 2012 "Poetry. Prize", and the 40th Annie Prize in 2013 "Music Award" in feature animation. He is active in a wide variety of fields, including planning and composition of TV programs, planning and original works for movies (other than the “Ringing Ali” series), planning for commercials and games, original manga, and serializing newspapers and magazines. He is also a general producer of the national idols AKB48 Group and Sakamichi Series. He has authored many novels such as "The Back of Elephant" (Fusosha), "Hobby Power" (NHK Publishing), "Tenjyo" (Asahi Shimbun Publishing) and many others.
