Michael Abu Sakara Foster Ph.D., is a specialist consultant in agriculture and rural Development. His expert skills are in food security, farming systems, soil science, technology innovation and advisory services for agricultural investment programs that target income generation for poverty reduction in rural economies.. His work experience. spans 27 years of international agricultural development work in America’s and Africa. During which period he made working visits to more than thirty countries in Asia, Far East, Americas and Africa. During his professional career, he has held technical, managerial and policy advisory positions on national institutional reforms for enhancing productivity of farms and food systems. He has worked for Sasakawa Africa Association’s food security programs in Africa as a scientist, country director and finally as their liaison officer for their collaboration with the World Bank in Africa.. After a stint of consulting for World Bank, FAO and CAADP, Michael Abu Sakara Foster has branched into entrepreneurship and politics in the latest phase of his life. He is developing 3000 hectares integrated agribusiness concern at Buipe in Northern Ghana. His first products are a 70 acre cashew seed farm and value chain for perfumed sultana rice. A central pivot irrigation system has been mounted on the farm with a view to producing and packaging vegetables for export.. Dr. Abu Sakara was the 2012 Presidential Candidate for the Convention People’s Party.
