Blake Hutyra's career in music started with live music performance with bands from 1999-2009, Bella (1999-2001) and Skiesfalling (2003-2009), and started to find homes in film in the mid to late 2000's. Considering the nature of the music - instrumental, dynamic, and emotional - it was only a matter of time before the natural progression occurred to start approaching the concept of intertwining it with film. But it was Skiesfalling where the music really started to move even further in the direction of cinema where more ambient and experimental approaches to music were part of the center.
