Keith Blackwood has been an Assistant District Attorney at the Mobile County, Alabama District Attorney's Office since March 24, 2008. He has served as a circuit court lawyer since 2008. Mr. Blackwood has been on several vertical prosecution teams, including vertically prosecuting child victim crimes from 2010 through 2011, and vertically prosecuting white-collar crimes from 2014 to 2015. Mr. Blackwood is a member of the "Murder Team," which is comprised of the District Attorney and two Assistant District Attorneys. The team is responsible for charging, investigating and indicting homicide cases in Mobile County and taking them to trial. Mr. Blackwood has been on the Murder Team since 2015.
