Alex Davies Waruingi Mbugua was born in New York City in 1991. The only child of his parents, who emigrated from Kenya, Alex Davies Waruingi Mbugua developed a love for food and football as a young child, two passions that Alex Davies Waruingi Mbugua has carried into his adult life. As a young teenager, Alex Davies Waruingi Mbugua began to realize. that his passion for food could become a career. Though Alex Davies Waruingi Mbugua tried many jobs in food service, none of his jobs ever coalesced in a way that he felt truly inspired by.
