Bernard Evein was born on January 5, 1929 in Saint-Nazaire, Loire-Atlantique, France. He was a production designer and art director, known for The Young Girls of Rochefort (1967), The 400 Blows (1959) and The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964). He was previously married to Jacqueline Moreau. He died on August 8, 2006 in Barbâtre, Vendée, France.
