Ali is a highly experienced industrialist and senior executive with over 25 years of successful international commercial, technical, financial and leadership capability across a wide range of industries including; defence, naval and commercial shipbuilding, marine infrastructures as well as nuclear, conventional and renewable power generation.. Ali has held a number of international board and senior positions in both public and private sectors and has considerable international and cross cultural experience in the UK, USA, Europe, South East Asia and Australia.. In addition to his marine engineering qualifications, Ali is a Chartered Engineer and holds a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering with Distinction. He is a Fellow of the British Institute of Mechanical Engineers, a Member of the Royal Corps of Naval Constructors, a Fellow of the ICCPM and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
