Prior to co-founding Kiran, Alan was Executive Director of Tata Sons Limited from 2004-2009, where he was responsible for internationalising the Tata Group. From 1998 to 2003, he was chairman of the Jardine Matheson Group in India.. He also chairs Griffin Growth Partners, a consulting firm advising international companies on their India and emerging markets business strategy. Alan is a non-executive director of UK-based Coats, a $1.6 billion textiles company, and Canada-based LNGaz, a small-scale LNG company he co-founded.. Earlier in his career, Alan served as Special Advisor to British Prime Minister John Major at No. 10 Downing Street’s Policy Unit and also worked in investment banking at S.G.
