Director Achim Walter Friedl is Head of Unit 6 "technology and logistics, management and use of funds of the federal police and the police readiness of countries" in the department B "affairs of the federal police" in the Federal Ministry of the Interior.. In its current use, he is concerned with technology and concepts of. land, air and sea vehicles, with border surveillance equipment, photo and video equipment, weapons and ammunition, uniforms, protective equipment, service dogs and horses, care in use, air safety control device and safety research.. He began his training in 1974 at the Federal Border Police (BGS) with a degree at the University of Applied Sciences of the federal (government sector). After training as a commercial pilot and Airline Transport Pilot Licence (Helicopter) he again took up studies and studied at the German Police University (formerly Police Academy).. From 1978 - 1985 Mr. Director Achim Friedl had some use in various management positions of BGS- air service in Kassel, Munich and Sankt Augustin. From 1987 - 1999 he was in charge of the BGS squadrons in Sankt Augustin, Kassel and Berlin (construction of office in Berlin). 1999 - 2002 he was director of the Joint Staff at the Federal Police flying corps in Sankt Augustin, while he led several large-scale operations at home and abroad. He then moved from 2002 as a lecturer at the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Berlin and since 2004 until today Head of Unit.
